Litigation
Our clients most often call upon us to litigate matters that are complex, high-profile and time sensitive.  We regularly appear before courts of original and appellate jurisdiction throughout the area on the local, state and national levels.
Notwithstanding our substantial trial-tested capabilities, we strive to limit exposure and keep clients out of court whenever possible.  We make extensive use of alternative dispute resolution techniques including mediation and arbitration.

Our trial attorneys also regularly offer preventative counsel to limit or eliminate liability. This applies frequently to such areas as toxic tort, personal injury, employment discrimination, employment non-competition, environmental, copyright, probate, property damage, oil & gas, medical malpractice, insurance, and many other types of disputes.

We have served as outside litigation counsel for many years to the firm's traditional client base in the insurance/financial services and energy and utilities sectors.  For these clients we have pursued the full spectrum of contested matters ranging from relatively simple contract disputes to large-scale multi-party personal injury cases.

We have tried scores of jury trials with some to the bench. We have also offered preventative counsel to limit or eliminate liability. Each case involves a unique approach for successful resolution. Part of any approach is to know where you are and who your audience is or will be. We can certainly help you with South Texas.
