Sue is a Board Certified Legal Assistant, Texas Board of Legal Specialization in personal injury law. Sue began her legal career in 1985 in Port Lavaca, Texas. After moving to Victoria in 1993, she joined Walker, Keeling & Carroll, LLP in 1994 bringing with her many years of litigation experience to our defense team. Her vast networking within the legal community as well as her internet and research skills aid in getting quick answers to many unique questions which arise during the course of litigation. Additionally, Sue works closely with Court staff and has a good understanding of the procedures for the varied courts in which we practice. Sue has been a co-presenter with Ron Walker of presentations, including, "The Legal Assistant's Role in Retaining Experts" (LAU-State Bar of Texas, Legal Assistant's Division n/k/a Paralegal Division); and "Retention of Experts" presented to the Victoria Bar Association. Sue also serves as an adjunct instructor in legal writing at the Victoria College. Sue's assistance during mediation with electronic presentations have often aided in the resolution of the dispute. Mediators and Judges alike seem to appreciate her organizational skills. Because of Sue's diversity, we feel she is able to manage our case files efficiently and with confidence.
