Trial Work
Jury Selection. In most of the counties in our area we are able to obtain a copy of the list of the jury panel two weeks before trial. We have developed a system in most of these counties where by the time the first question is asked at voir dire we will have helpful information for jury selection on up to sixty percent of the panel.
Reputation. Texas Lawyer, a weekly statewide legal publication, featured one of our attorneys as the “Most Skilled Defense Lawyer” in Victoria, Texas. He thinks that designation should have gone to the entire firm as the description of having “a very good relationship with the judiciary in Victoria and the surrounding counties” and of being “experienced, prepared, and an effective communicator with judges and juries,” and a “master of trial preparation”. This designation is the result of having a superior legal staff and teaming with talented in-house and outside counsel. The article was summed up by stating "our firm, has an excellent reputation.”
Court Personnel. We have worked with individuals throughout the courthouses in our region. We maintain a courteous and professional relationship with the court personnel, many for more than two decades.
Medical Experts. Our firm has deposed many of the physicians in this area and is generally familiar with their style of testimony and patterns of practices. On a more informal basis, we represent many of these physicians and know them socially.
